June News: Expanding Community, Affiliate Partnerships, and Fresh YouTube Content!
Happy Yo Joe June, everyone!
I have some exciting updates for the website! First off, our site continues to experience significant growth, with about two new subscribers joining us each day. Growth is slow and steady, but it’s heartening to see our community expanding.
On a somber note, I’m still on the lookout for a new position. Although I’ve had some traction in the past couple of weeks, nothing solid has materialized yet. We’re in a decent position for now, as all hosting and domain costs are covered until October. However, without securing a full-time job soon, I may have to temporarily shut down the site until I can get back on my feet.
Despite this, there’s good news to share! Super 7 has reached out and offered us an affiliate account. This means if you purchase any Entertainment Earth or Super 7 action figures through links on our site, we get a small commission. Additionally, I’ve added a “Support Us” tab that links to our Patreon account. Contributions from either of these avenues will go directly towards maintaining the site. I appreciate all of you.
In even better news, with the extra time on my hands, I’m getting back into creating content for our YouTube channel. I’m currently working on a new host character. The design is complete, and I’m just finishing the animations. New videos should start next week, focusing on unboxing items from my collection, posing figures, and more. I’d love to get your feedback on the type of content you’d like to see—whether toy-related or not. We could explore movies, shows, comics, or anything else you’re interested in. Beyond my toy collection, I also have an extensive comic collection and could do a monthly review for a few titles. Let me know what you’d like to see!
I’ll be adding more articles this week, including one about the recent GI Joe Hasbro Pulse Fanstream. Did you all catch the hints about Nemesis Enforcer? It looks like this summer is going to be packed with exciting releases.
As I mentioned before, if anyone would like to support us by writing articles, that would be fantastic. It doesn’t have to be super frequent—just whatever you can manage. This would achieve a few important things for us (I keep saying “us,” but it’s really just me at the moment). First, it provides fresh content for our community to enjoy. Second, it signals to search engines that our content is regularly updated, which boosts our organic visibility. And third, it allows others to take ownership of the community. I envision this site as a community-built and maintained space, with me stepping in wherever needed.
Thanks for your continued support, and be sure to check out the new video next week!
Edit: The moment I get back on my feet, expect a new contest to run…I’ll keep it a secret for now, but it’s going to be big!
