In September of 2022, Hasbro teased a new line of fully poseable action figures. The first wave of figures was chosen to be the NBA’s current roster of top talent. The head sculpts and player depictions were spot on. They also wore licensed apparel including Under Armor and Nike! So why are we talking about this today? Well, The price was out of reach for most collectors. Priced at $49.99 USD a lot of fans were left with a lineup of figures that were priced just out of reach. Well not anymore, Hasbro announced a $20 price drop! Yes, you heard that right. They are now on pre-order for $29.99 USD.
From the promotional images, these figures are well-detailed. Hairstyles and facial hair all look ultra-realistic. Jerseys are true to life, including the NBA insignia and branded sportswear. All you could ask for in a collectible. What’s even better is the ultra possibility. Unlike the Starting Lineup figures of yesteryear, these figures have over 20 points of articulation. Each comes with its own basketball and stand too.
Lastly, If you wanted a collection that is to increase in value over time, well this is the line of figures for you. And after Hasbro’s $20 price drop, there is no excuse for not picking these bad boys up. I’ve ordered mine!
