HasLab’s Legacy Liokaiser Combiner is the Holy Grail of Decepticon Combiners!

Share :

It’s happening, folks! HasLab has finally revealed its latest Transformers Legacy crowdfunded project—Liokaiser! This is the first official modern update of the legendary Japanese-exclusive Decepticon combiner, and if you’ve ever wanted a true masterpiece-level version of the Breastforce team, this is it.

Hasbro and Takara have been knocking it out of the park with their Transformers: Victory HasLab campaigns (Victory Saber and Deathsaurus), and Liokaiser completes the trilogy of Japanese G1 greats. If you’re a hardcore Transformers fan, this is one HasLab project you absolutely cannot miss.

Who is Liokaiser? The Ultimate Decepticon Combiner

Unlike combiners like Devastator or Menasor, who have been staples of the mainline Transformers series for decades, Liokaiser is an elite-level Decepticon combiner that many Western fans never had the chance to experience.

Liokaiser’s Origins: A Transformers: Victory Legend

In 1989, Transformers: Victory aired in Japan as the final major installment of the Generation 1 anime continuity. Unlike its Western counterparts, Victory introduced an entirely new cast of characters, led by the Autobot Supreme Commander, Star Saber (who later merged with Victory Leo to form Victory Saber).

The Autobots had their powerful commanders, but the Decepticons were led by Deathasaurus (Deathsaurus in the HasLab campaign), who commanded a team of elite warriors known as Breastforce. These six highly trained Decepticons combined to form Liokaiser, one of the most powerful combiners in all of Transformers history.

Unlike most combiners that relied on a central leader bot, Liokaiser was unique in that the six members were equals, functioning as a true military unit rather than mindless drones under one leader. Their combined form was faster, more intelligent, and deadlier than most Autobots had ever faced.

The Breastforce Members: Who’s in the Squad?

HasLab’s Liokaiser faithfully brings together the original six Decepticons that made up this legendary combiner:

Leozak (Torso & Head) – The Ambitious Commander

Leozak is the de facto leader of the Breastforce and the right-hand bot of Deathsaurus. His alternate mode is a sleek, futuristic jet, and in the combined form, he forms the upper torso and head of Liokaiser.

Jaruga (Lower Torso) – The Loyal Strategist

Jaruga (sometimes spelled Jallguar) transforms into a powerful off-road vehicle, forming Liokaiser’s pelvis and upper legs. He serves as Leozak’s second-in-command, ensuring that their combined form fights with tactical precision.

Gaihawk (Right Arm) – The Ruthless Aerial Warrior

A Decepticon airborne specialist, Gaihawk transforms into a fighter jet and serves as one of Liokaiser’s arms. He’s fiercely loyal to the Decepticon cause and one of the most skilled aerial warriors in the ranks.

Hellbat (Left Arm) – The Decepticon Spy

Hellbat is the most deceptive member of the Breastforce, known for using hypnosis and manipulation in battle. He transforms into a stealth jet and forms the left arm of Liokaiser.

Drillhorn (Left Leg) – The Heavy-Hitting Engineer

Drillhorn transforms into a massive drill tank, giving Liokaiser an impenetrable, armored lower half. He’s one of the most intelligent members of Breastforce and specializes in siege warfare.

Killbison (Right Leg) – The Walking Arsenal

Killbison is a heavy weapons specialist, transforming into a twin-barreled tank. His raw firepower and brute strength make Liokaiser one of the most devastating combiners on the battlefield.

Why This HasLab Liokaiser is a Must-Have for Collectors

We’ve seen plenty of G1 combiners get updates, but Liokaiser has never received an official modern release that truly did him justice—until now.

  • First Ever G1-Accurate Modern Liokaiser – Previous attempts (like Combiner Wars Liokaiser) were disappointing due to missing members and strange alt-modes. HasLab fixes that with animation-accurate designs.
  • Premium Engineering & Detailing – This isn’t just a basic six-figure combiner—Hasbro has put in the same level of care they used for Victory Saber and Deathsaurus, ensuring top-tier articulation and paintwork.
  • Fully Integrated Breastforce Gimmick – Each figure includes removable chest animals that transform into weapons, just like in the anime. This authentic detail makes them stand out from other combiners.
  • Perfect Scale to Match HasLab Victory Saber & Deathsaurus – Liokaiser completes the Decepticon ranks, giving fans the ultimate war between Autobots and Decepticons in the Victory era.

Stretch Goals & Unlockable Tiers

HasLab has included some amazing stretch goals that make this set even better:

  • 16,000 Backers: Electromagnetic Nunchaku – Liokaiser’s signature melee weapon, combining six individual spears into a massive energy whip.
  • 18,000 Backers: Display Bases – Three premium display stands to showcase Liokaiser and the Breastforce members in combat poses.

Final Thoughts – Is This HasLab Worth It?

  1. If you’re a hardcore Transformers collector, you NEED this in your collection.
  2. If you backed Victory Saber and Deathsaurus, this completes the set.
  3. If you love combiners, this is the most faithful Liokaiser ever made.
  4. If you want to own a piece of Transformers history, HasLab is your best bet.

HasLab’s Transformers Legacy Liokaiser isn’t just another figure—it’s a celebration of one of the greatest combiners of all time. This project is a rare opportunity, and once it’s gone, aftermarket prices will be brutal.
